# Citygate Outlets Hong Kong: Real Discounts vs India Prices (Honest Review)

**Citygate** in Tung Chung is Hong Kong's biggest outlet mall, and it's right at the Ngong Ping 360 exit, so we went straight after [Lantau Island](https://www.psvlogs.in/blog/lantau-island-ngong-ping-big-buddha). Is it actually cheaper than India? Here's what we found.

## Brand by brand

- **Coach**: **50–70% off**, though we didn't love the designs that day.
- **The North Face**: **20–30% off** slings and jackets, clearly cheaper than India. Slings from about HK$448.
- **MLB**: around **60% off**.
- **Michael Kors**: 15% off two items, 20% off three, and **50–80% off** selected pieces. Some bags were the same price as India.
- **Adidas**: good discounts, but the popular lines (Samba, Japan) were **sold out**. The Samba was HK$899 with about 15–20% off.
- **Nike**: fewer offers than we expected.
- **Puma**: deals like 2 pairs for HK$599 and 3 for HK$799.
- **New Balance**: up to 60% off, plus buy 3 get 40% off. But a single pair at **HK$599 (about ₹6,500) was cheaper online in India** (about ₹5,700).
- **Estée Lauder lipstick**: HK$350 (about ₹3,800) against ₹3,400 in India. **Not cheaper.**

## Verdict

**Selective deals, not a shopping paradise.** Compare prices with Indian sites before buying. For outlet shopping, the airport outlet mall near KLIA in Kuala Lumpur gave us better deals overall.

**Combine Citygate with Lantau.** It's at the same MTR exit as the cable car.

Take the MTR Tung Chung line to the last stop. It's right at the Ngong Ping 360 cable car exit, so combine it with Lantau.
