> An honest review of Della Resorts Lonavala: the garden villas, five-star hospitality, slow weekend check-in, the paid adventure park, food prices (₹1,300 biryani), mosquitoes, and who it's best for.

Part two of our Lonavala long weekend, straight from [Aamby Valley](https://www.psvlogs.in/blog/aamby-valley-review). It was our first time at **Della**.

## First impressions
It's **warmer** than Aamby Valley, which is higher up and was cold at night. The entrance is premium, with an **Egyptian theme**, then the **Della Township** apartments.

**Hospitality is excellent.** Everything flows, and you never feel lost. **Valet** takes your car, and **internal cars or buggies** take you around.

**But:** it was a weekend and **very crowded**. The whole waiting area was full, and our room took **about an hour**, so we spent it at **Café 24**.

## The Garden Villa
Della built a villa project, sold some to residents, and leases others from owners to run as resort rooms. They're very well maintained, with a nice vibe. The catch: it's spread out. **Call 10–15 minutes before** you want a buggy or car.

## The Adventure Park
Lots on offer: a **giant swing**, **zipline**, **archery**, **paintball**, **pickleball**, slides, **cycling**, a **fish spa** for kids, pottery, a small **food court**, and pet-friendly walks with dogs.

**None of it is free with the room.** There are two options: a **day pass**, or pay per activity. **Cycling was about ₹450.**

There's also a small artificial waterfall by the garden villas, and the hills will look far better **in the monsoon**. When we went, it was dry and brown.

## Honest review
**Pros:**
- Beautifully maintained, with real five-star service, from valet to buggies.
- Multiple cuisines: Indian, Malvani, Continental, Parsi and Italian.

**Cons:**
- **Check-in and check-out take a long time**, especially on weekends. Keep a margin. Weekdays should be fine.
- **Mosquitoes.** We couldn't sleep, and called many times; they only brought a Good Knight.
- **Food is expensive**: a **veg biryani was about ₹1,300–1,400** with service charge.
- **Amenities are limited** to a spa and a **small pool** next to Café 24, smaller than the photos suggest.
- At **₹17,000–18,000 a night**, some **complimentary adventure-park access** (or at least three or four attractions) should be included.

**Who it's for:** **families with kids or groups of friends**. It's less of a couple place. Try it once.
