> How we got to Victoria Peak: getting to the Peak Tram from Central, the 1–1.5 hour queue, Sky Terrace 428 on a hazy day, the Peak circle walk, and an evening in Causeway Bay.

Part two of our first day in Hong Kong: after Central, the escalator and Tai Kwun ([part one](https://www.psvlogs.in/blog/hong-kong-central-walking-tour)), we headed up **Victoria Peak**, then ended the day in **Causeway Bay**.

## Getting to the Peak Tram

We took the old **tram from Central** and got off near **Murray Road / Garden Road**, then walked a few minutes to the Peak Tram terminus (there's also an MTR station nearby). Tickets are sold under the big building, or online on **Klook**.

## The queue

**Expect 1–1.5 hours** at busy times. The queue behind us was as long as the one in front. Booking online saves the ticket queue, not the boarding queue. The ride up is only about **10 minutes**, but it's a classic: a steep funicular climbing the hill.

## Sky Terrace 428

We booked the **Sky Terrace** for the 360° view of the whole of Hong Kong, the island and Kowloon. It was **very hazy** that day, so we couldn't see far. Check the weather and go on a clear day if you can.

There's also a **circular walk around the Peak**, about 1.5–2 hours, if you have the energy.

## Evening in Causeway Bay

**Causeway Bay** is one of Hong Kong's liveliest neighbourhoods: crowds, neon, old red taxis lined up like a Hollywood film set, and endless shopping and food. Visit **Times Square**, a mall with many floors of shops and restaurants.

For camera people: the **DJI store** in Causeway Bay is huge. We picked up a **DJI Mic** upgrade there. Prices on drones and the Mini series were worth comparing with India.

End with an egg tart at **Bakehouse**.

**Is Sky Terrace 428 worth it?**
On a clear day, yes, for the 360° view. It was hazy when we went, so we couldn't see far.
