> Our easy day in Kuala Lumpur with family: monorail to Bukit Bintang, Lot 10 and the four-storey KKV, biryani and shawarma at Damascus, money exchange tips, Pavilion mall, and chai and dosa in Little India.

Day two in Kuala Lumpur was our **chill-out day**: no big attractions, just exploring the city with Mummy and Kiwi.

## Getting around
KL's **public transport is very easy**: digital screens, ticket machines, and low fares. **Taxis are cheap** too, because petrol costs well under ₹50 a litre. Our hotel's **monorail station** was very close. [Our suite review](https://www.psvlogs.in/blog/kuala-lumpur-2bhk-suite-review).

## Bukit Bintang & Lot 10
Bukit Bintang is KL's iconic shopping and entertainment hub. Get off the monorail and you walk straight into **Lot 10 mall**, home to H&M and **Isetan**, a Japanese store full of Japanese and Chinese shops and some iconic brands.

## KKV: four floors of cute
Across the road, a bright yellow building turned out to be a **four-storey KKV**. It's paradise for kids, and honestly for us too. Shin-chan, Doraemon, action figures, accessories, cute stationery, an Asian noodle section, and beauty on the fourth floor. We spent **about 1.5 hours** here (Mummy was not impressed) and came out with a **Shin-chan mug with a Shin-chan lid**.

## Lunch at Damascus
A famous restaurant known for **shawarma and biryani**, with gorgeous Arabic décor. It feels like Dubai or Turkey. Mummy and Kiwi were happy to find biryani, "something like home". The Turkish tea came in a normal cup, not the Turkish glass we hoped for.

- **At night the queue is 1–1.5 hours**, even for takeaway. Go at lunch.
- The whole lane is known for Arabic food.
- **Money exchange:** a changer right next to Damascus gave good rates for INR and USD.

## Pavilion mall
KL's famous high-end mall, with a 3D screen outside. It feels like a **smaller Dubai Mall**, with most international brands under one roof.

## Little India
Mummy and Kiwi said it instantly: "This feels like India!" It's colourful and vibrant, with South Indian music playing, like Singapore's Little India but smaller, more of a lane. After two days without Indian food, we found **chai and dosa** at a reasonably priced spot, then wandered the lane.
