**Lebua at State Tower** is one of Bangkok's most famous five-star hotels, known for its legendary sky bars and for starring in **The Hangover Part II**. Here's our honest stay.

## Arrival & check-in
An iconic archway, a grand lobby and a genuinely warm welcome. Check-in was smooth, and you notice the luxury details instantly.

## Prices (when we booked)
- **Lebua Suite, city view**: from about ₹11,500 per night
- **Lebua Suite, river view**: about ₹12,500 (what we booked)
- **Tower Club suite**: around ₹14,000

## Room tour: river-view suite (51st floor)
- A separate living area with sofa and a **fully equipped kitchenette** (coffee, microwave, fridge).
- A **huge bathroom** with bathtub, wardrobe space and a safe.
- A big bedroom and bed.
- **The best part: the balcony** on the 51st floor, looking over the Chao Phraya river.

## Breakfast
A serious spread:
- **Fruit**: mangosteen and longan, which you rarely find in India.
- Cheese, breads, a **live pancake counter**, eggs any style, fresh juices.
- A **Vietnamese noodle soup** live station (they add any meat you like).
- Lebanese corner (hummus, pita), salads, **sushi and maki rolls**.
- **Som tam** (papaya salad): Sunaina's favourite. Ask for **less spicy**.
- Curries (chicken, fish, mutton), fragrant rice and a live barbecue counter.

## Pool & gym
An open pool with stunning views, and a gym on the same floor.

## Location
Step outside and you're in real Bangkok: street vendors, tuk-tuks and food stalls. The **pier is about 10 minutes' walk**, handy for river boats to the temples, Asiatique and ICONSIAM. It's a great base to mix luxury with local exploring.

## Verdict
For a special occasion in Bangkok, Lebua's river-view suite is worth it, for the view and the breakfast alone.
