Our fourth day in Hong Kong was all about soaking in the peaceful views, exploring historic landmarks, and uncovering a different side of this vibrant city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From historic clock towers to iconic star ferries, here\u2019s how we spent a relaxing day around Victoria Harbour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Local Start: Breakfast at Vaso Cafe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We started our morning a bit late (Disneyland recovery is real!) and headed to <strong>Vaso Cafe<\/strong> for a local &#8220;Cha Chaan Teng&#8221; (Hong Kong-style tea restaurant) experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>What we ate:<\/strong> A hearty tomato soup bowl with noodle-like pasta (macaroni), fried chicken, salad, and toast.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Verdict:<\/strong> It was incredibly filling and surprisingly affordable. This place is famous for a reason\u2014there was a line out the door!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strolling the Wan Chai Promenade<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before crossing the water, we explored the <strong>Wan Chai Promenade<\/strong> on the Hong Kong Island side. This area is beautifully designed with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dedicated Spaces:<\/strong> Running tracks, walking paths, and even a &#8220;Pet Garden&#8221; where locals bring their dogs to play.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thoughtful Amenities:<\/strong> Frequent drinking water stations and plenty of aesthetic seating areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Atmosphere:<\/strong> It\u2019s incredibly calm and peaceful. If you need a moment to just &#8220;chill&#8221; and escape the city&#8217;s hustle, this is the spot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Iconic Star Ferry Ride<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To get across to Tsim Sha Tsui (TST), we took the legendary <strong>Star Ferry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cost:<\/strong> Only about <strong>$5 HKD<\/strong> per person (approx. \u20b950).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Payment:<\/strong> We actually used our credit cards directly at the turnstile instead of the Octopus card, which was super convenient.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Experience:<\/strong> It\u2019s a short 7\u201310 minute ride, but the views of the skyline from the water are unmatched.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exploring Tsim Sha Tsui (TST)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once we landed in TST, the vibe changed instantly\u2014it was much more crowded and bustling compared to the island side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Clock Tower<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Standing tall near the ferry pier, the <strong>Clock Tower<\/strong> is a red brick and granite landmark. It\u2019s a beautiful reminder of the old terminus of the Kowloon-Canton Railway and a great spot for photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Avenue of Stars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of this as Hong Kong\u2019s &#8220;Walk of Fame.&#8221; We walked along the harbour front and saw:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Handprints:<\/strong> We compared our hand sizes with iconic stars like Bruce Lee and other famous Hong Kong actors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bruce Lee Statue:<\/strong> The most iconic spot on the promenade\u2014you can\u2019t leave without a photo here!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the &#8220;Symphony of Lights&#8221; Worth It?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Every night at 8:00 PM, the city hosts the <strong>Symphony of Lights<\/strong>, a multimedia show involving lasers and lights across the harbour skyline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our Honest Truth:<\/strong> To be honest, it was a bit underwhelming compared to our high expectations. After seeing shows like those at the Burj Khalifa, this felt a bit uncoordinated. While it\u2019s a free show and worth catching if you\u2019re already there, don&#8217;t feel bad if you miss it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Snacks You Must Try<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mammy Pancake:<\/strong> We grabbed the famous <strong>Chocolate Chip Egg Waffle<\/strong>. It was crispy, warm, and the perfect street food snack to end our evening.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>K11 Musea Food Hall:<\/strong> If you\u2019re looking for a fancy but quick lunch, the basement of the K11 mall has tons of options, including slow-cooked chicken broths and unique bakeries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Victoria Harbour beautifully holds both Hong Kong\u2019s past and its future.
