Ba Na Hills is much bigger than we expected. It's a full-day theme park on a mountain, with French-village streets, shows, rides and the famous Golden Bridge. Some of it is overhyped, and some of it nobody tells you about.

Getting there
Book a Grab from your hotel to the Ba Na Hills ticket station. It's about 27 km, roughly 40 minutes from Da Nang. A shuttle bus takes you from the drop-off to the cable car, and the cable car ride is about 15 minutes with great views.
Tickets & Wow Pass
- Counter prices vary by combo. The standard ticket was about 1 million VND (around ₹3,400), and with extras it came to roughly ₹3,800 per person.
- Klook is about the same price, but our code SUNNSHANT gives you 10% off. You can also add the buffet lunch on Klook.
- Get the Wow Pass. It's priority access for the cable car, restaurants and rides. Without it, you queue for everything.
What's overhyped: the Golden Bridge
The bridge held up by giant hands is iconic, but it's so crowded you can barely take a photo with the hands behind you. See it, but don't make it the reason you come.
What you shouldn't miss
- Alpine Coaster: the best thing here. It's extra (100,000 VND for 1 ride, 200,000 for 3). Do at least two or three rounds.
- French Village: beautifully recreated streets and a castle that looks straight out of a fairytale.
- Lunar Castle shows: 3D/4D shows, a flying theatre and a submarine-style "around the world" ride. Kids will love it, and the AC is welcome.
- Fantasy Park (indoor): rides plus free arcade games (games that are paid in Indian malls are free here).
- Beer Plaza: we got free brewery passes for two beers on the way down.
- Monorail between sections. From the funicular, exit on the 2nd floor for the French Village.
The weather can flip from blazing sun to cool fog in minutes, which is a lovely relief.
Stay overnight?
If you have an extra night, stay on top (there are more hotels than the Mercure that shows up online). You'll get the Golden Bridge without the crowds early morning and at night.
Verdict: thumbs up. Skip the bridge selfie stress and enjoy everything else.
